If you're heading to Walt Disney World this holiday season, budget a little more for skipping the line. Starting November 1, 2026, Lightning Lane Single Pass prices hit all-time highs at four of Disney World's biggest rides, and the Magic Kingdom Lightning Lane Premier Pass goes back to its top price of $449 per person.
I help families plan Disney World trips every week, and Lightning Lane is one of the first things people ask me about. Here's what's changing, what it means for your budget, and how to decide if it's worth it for your family.
Lightning Lane Single Pass is the pay-per-ride option for headliners that aren't part of Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Prices change by date, so these are the maximum prices, not what you'll pay every day. Here are the new highs, as reported by WDW News Today and Blog Mickey:
That means three of the five Single Pass rides now top out at $25 per person. For a family of four, that's $100 just to skip the line for TRON on a peak day.
Lightning Lane Premier Pass gives you one Lightning Lane entry at almost every ride in a park, including the Single Pass headliners. Disney World added a lower $299 price point for the Magic Kingdom Premier Pass earlier this year, but on November 1 it returns to $449, according to Inside the Magic. That top price usually shows up during the busiest weeks, like Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's and Spring Break.
Premier Pass also sells out. WDW News Today reported it sold out at every Disney World park over Columbus Day weekend, even with October prices running from $159 to $429 per person.
These increases land right before Disney World's busiest stretch. November brings Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, Disney Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios, and the start of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Then come Thanksgiving and Christmas crowds. Longer lines push more people to pay, and Disney prices Lightning Lane to match.
This also comes after the October 6 price increase on park tickets and annual passes. If you're booking a holiday trip now, plan for both.
It depends on your family, your dates and the rides you care about. Here's how I walk my clients through it:
