Disney World Airport Luggage Transfer Now Covers 9 Resorts: What Changed and How It Works

Quick answer: Disney World's free Airport Luggage Transfer service now works at nine Disney resorts. Coronado Springs, Port Orleans French Quarter and Port Orleans Riverside joined on October 29, 2026. That means every Value and Moderate Disney resort is now on the list. It works for domestic flights on American, JetBlue, Southwest and United through Orlando International Airport (MCO).

If you remember the old Magical Express days, this is the part families miss most: skipping baggage claim and heading straight to the parks. I've been planning Disney trips since 2010, and luggage is one of the first questions I get when someone flies into Orlando. This expansion is good news for a lot of families.

Which Disney World resorts have Airport Luggage Transfer?

You need to check in or out of one of these nine resorts to use the service:

Value resorts

  • Disney's All-Star Movies Resort
  • Disney's All-Star Music Resort
  • Disney's All-Star Sports Resort
  • Disney's Art of Animation Resort
  • Disney's Pop Century Resort

Moderate resorts

  • Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
  • Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and Gran Destino Tower
  • Disney's Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
  • Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside

Deluxe resorts aren't on Disney's list yet. If you're staying at a Deluxe, you'll still pick up your own bags at MCO for now. Not sure which resort fits your family? My guide to places to stay at Disney World breaks down the options, and here's my take on whether Art of Animation is worth it.

Which airlines work with it?

Right now the service covers four airlines on domestic flights:

  • American Airlines
  • JetBlue
  • Southwest Airlines
  • United Airlines

JetBlue was added in September 2026, and Disney says more airlines could be added. Delta, Frontier and Spirit flyers can't use it yet.

How it works when you arrive

  1. Register online anytime from 30 days to one day before your flight. You'll need your Disney resort confirmation number and your flight confirmation number.
  2. Watch for luggage tags. If you register more than seven days ahead, Disney mails you tags. If you register later, you won't get tags, but your bags are still delivered.
  3. Check your bags with the airline like normal.
  4. Skip baggage claim at MCO and head straight to Disney World.
  5. Pick up your bags at the resort. Disney says they can take up to four hours after your flight lands. You can grab them at Luggage Assistance (Bell Services) in the lobby, or call from your room to have them brought up.

My tip: pack a small carry-on with swimsuits, sunscreen and a change of clothes. With my kids, the first afternoon is a great time for the pool or a quick park visit while the bags catch up. It also pairs well with the Disney Skyliner if you're at Caribbean Beach, Pop Century or Art of Animation.

How it works when you go home

  1. Check in online with your airline starting 24 hours before your flight, and pay any bag fees through the airline.
  2. Drop your bags at Luggage Assistance between 24 hours and four hours before your flight. Bring a government-issued photo ID and your boarding pass.
  3. Head to the airport and skip the bag check line.
  4. Pick up your bags at baggage claim in your home airport.

That last morning is so much easier when you don't have to haul suitcases onto a bus or into a rideshare.

How much does it cost?

The service itself is free for guests at participating resorts. Disney doesn't cover tips, so plan a few dollars for the bell staff, and you still pay your airline's normal bag fees.

What to keep in your carry-on

Disney recommends keeping these with you instead of in a checked bag:

  • Medications
  • Laptops, tablets, power banks and cameras
  • Perishable or heat-sensitive items
  • Passports, travel documents and your itinerary

Is it worth using?

For most families flying one of the four airlines into a Value or Moderate resort, yes. It's free, it saves time at the airport, and it gets your vacation started faster.
