Magic Kingdom Map: A Land-by-Land Guide

Updated October 2026

Magic Kingdom is the busiest theme park at Walt Disney World, and it's a lot easier to enjoy when you know where everything is. The good news is that it's one of the easiest parks to get around. It's laid out like a wheel, with Cinderella Castle at the center and the themed lands around it.

Use this land-by-land Magic Kingdom map guide to plan your day and find the rides that matter most to your family.

Where to Get the Official Magic Kingdom Map

Walt Disney World covers about 27,000 acres, so you'll want the app on your phone either way.

Main Street, U.S.A.

Main Street, U.S.A. is the entrance to the park. Before you get there, make sure you have your tickets. You can save with discount Disney World tickets.

Main Street is lined with shops and snack spots, and it has the best view of Cinderella Castle. The main ride here is the Walt Disney World Railroad. Its steam locomotives were built between 1916 and 1928, and the full loop around the park is about 1.5 miles. The railroad reopens October 30, 2026 after a monthlong closure, but the Frontierland station stays closed during nearby construction (Blog Mickey).

Cinderella Castle

The castle is the center of the park and the hub that connects every land. It's the backdrop for the nightly Happily Ever After fireworks and a great spot to watch the Festival of Fantasy Parade. If you can get a reservation, you can eat inside the castle at Cinderella's Royal Table.

Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland is to the right as you face the castle from Main Street.

  • TRON Lightcycle / Run: Magic Kingdom's newest and fastest coaster, open since April 2023. You ride on a lightcycle and launch outside under a glowing canopy before racing into the Grid. Minimum height is 48 inches (ClickOrlando).
  • Space Mountain: an indoor coaster that blasts you into "outer space" in the dark. Minimum height is 44 inches.
  • Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin: shoot targets to rack up points with Buzz. It reopened in April 2026 with new handheld blasters.
  • Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor: a comedy show where Mike Wazowski and friends may pick you to join in.
  • Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover: a slow, relaxing ride that takes you inside Space Mountain and past Buzz Lightyear for a bird's-eye view of the land.
  • Astro Orbiter: rocket ships that spin high above Tomorrowland.
  • Tomorrowland Speedway: gas-powered cars on a guided track, between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland. Kids love "driving."
  • Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress: Walt's own idea, first shown at the 1964–65 New York World's Fair, and at Magic Kingdom since 1975. It's closed now for a refresh that adds a Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic and is expected back in late spring 2027 (Blog Mickey).

Fantasyland

Fantasyland sits behind the castle and is the best land for younger kids. You'll step into some of your favorite Disney movies.

  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train: a family coaster through the Dwarfs' gem mine. It has some of the longest waits in the park. Minimum height is 38 inches.
  • Peter Pan's Flight: fly over London and Never Land on a pirate ship. Waits get long, so ride early or late.
  • "it's a small world": a classic boat ride through the countries of the world and its famous song.
  • The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: bounce through the Hundred Acre Wood with Pooh and Tigger.
  • Under the Sea – Journey of The Little Mermaid: ride a clamshell through Ariel's story, from Sebastian's band to Ursula's lair.
  • Enchanted Tales with Belle: an interactive story with Belle inside the Beast's castle.
  • Mickey's PhilharMagic: a 3D movie show where Donald gets ahold of Mickey's sorcerer hat.
  • Mad Tea Party: spinning teacups. You control how fast you spin.
  • Dumbo the Flying Elephant: there are two Dumbo rides side by side, and you control how high you fly.
  • The Barnstormer: a small coaster with Goofy that's a great first coaster.
  • Prince Charming Regal Carrousel: a classic carousel right behind the castle.

Liberty Square

Liberty Square sits between Fantasyland and Frontierland and takes you back to colonial America.

  • Haunted Mansion: a tour of a mansion with 999 happy haunts. Beware of hitchhiking ghosts!
  • The Hall of Presidents: an Audio-Animatronics show with every U.S. president.

The Liberty Square Riverboat no longer runs. It closed with the Rivers of America in July 2025 (WDWMAGIC).

Frontierland

Frontierland takes you back to the Old West.

  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: a runaway mine train coaster through the desert. It reopened in May 2026 after a long track replacement. Minimum height is 40 inches.
  • Tiana's Bayou Adventure: the log flume that replaced Splash Mountain in June 2024. Join Tiana and her friends on a musical trip through the bayou, with a big final drop. Minimum height is 40 inches. It's closed for refurbishment from November 2 to December 18, 2026 (WDWNT).
  • Country Bear Musical Jamboree: the singing bears are back with a show of Disney songs.

What happened to Tom Sawyer Island? Tom Sawyer Island, the Rivers of America and the riverboat closed for good after July 6, 2025. Disney is building Piston Peak National Park, a new Cars-themed area, in their place. It doesn't have an opening date yet (WDWMAGIC).

Adventureland

Adventureland is to the left as you face the castle from Main Street.

  • Pirates of the Caribbean: a boat ride through a pirate raid. Keep an eye out for Captain Jack Sparrow.
  • Jungle Cruise: a boat tour of the world's rivers, with plenty of skipper jokes. It becomes the Jingle Cruise for the holidays starting November 3, 2026.
  • Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room: a sing-along show with tropical birds, based on the 1963 Disneyland original.
  • Swiss Family Treehouse: climb through the treehouse home from Swiss Family Robinson.
  • The Magic Carpets of Aladdin: fly a carpet around Genie's lamp. You control your height.
  • Beak and Barrel: a pirate-themed tavern for grown-ups near Pirates of the Caribbean.

Tips for Using Your Magic Kingdom Map

  • Go clockwise or counterclockwise, not back and forth. Pick one direction around the castle hub to cut down on walking.
  • Plan around Lightning Lane. Use the map with your Lightning Lane return times so you're not crossing the park over and over. Here's what Lightning Lane costs.
  • Know the parade route. The parade route runs through Frontierland, Liberty Square and Main Street, and it can be hard to cross during parades.
  • Keep kids busy in line. Try these games to play in line at Magic Kingdom.
