Quick answer: Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26, 2026, and all four Disney World parks are open that day. Thanksgiving week is one of the busiest (and priciest) weeks of the fall. Lightning Lane Premier Pass just hit record highs, three nights close Magic Kingdom early for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and Tiana's Bayou Adventure is closed all week.
Thanksgiving week is a fun time to go. School is out, the Christmas decorations are up and the weather is usually pleasant. Here's what's new and what I'd tell any family heading down.
Disney World just posted Lightning Lane Premier Pass prices for Monday, November 23, and every park set a new all-time high, according to Blog Mickey:
| Park | Previous high | November 23, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Magic Kingdom | $449 | $479 |
| Hollywood Studios | $349 | $369 |
| EPCOT | $249 | $269 |
| Animal Kingdom | $199 | $219 |
That's per person, per day, and it doesn't include your park ticket. A family of four would pay $1,916 for Premier Pass at Magic Kingdom that day. As of November 2, Disney hasn't posted Premier Pass prices for Thanksgiving Day or the rest of the week (November 24 to 28). They usually appear about three weeks out and could go higher.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass is a much better value for most families. Magic Kingdom tops out at $45 on November 23 and drops to $39 on Tuesday and Wednesday. Hollywood Studios is $39 Monday through Wednesday, EPCOT runs $28 to $35, and Animal Kingdom is $25 to $29. For the full breakdown, see my post on Lightning Lane prices for November.
My take: on a week this busy, Multi Pass at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios is worth it for most families. Premier Pass only makes sense if you have one day in a park and want to ride everything with no planning.
Here are the hours on the Disney World park calendar as of November 2. Resort guests get early entry 30 minutes before opening every day.
Disney often extends hours closer to the date, so check again before you go.
Tiana's Bayou Adventure closed November 2 for its first major refurbishment and is scheduled to reopen December 18, so it's down all of Thanksgiving week. On the bright side, the Jingle Cruise is back at Magic Kingdom starting November 3, and the parks will be fully decorated for the holidays by then.
If you want to see the Christmas party, Thanksgiving week is one of the last chances before December. My kids love the parade, and here's a quick look at the toy soldiers at the Very Merry Christmas Party. You'll find more park videos on the Fun Park Go YouTube channel. You can easily find a turkey dinner:
Book as soon as your 60-day window opens. My guide to Disney dining reservations walks you through it. Disney Springs is also a great free evening that week, since the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll starts November 11.

I'm a College of Disney Knowledge graduate and I've been booking Disney trips since 2010. My planning is free, and I can help you pick the right park for each day and decide if Lightning Lane is worth it for your family.

Yes. All four parks are open on Thursday, November 26, 2026. Magic Kingdom is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Yes. It's one of the busiest weeks of the fall because most schools are out, so plan on crowds all week.
There's no Thanksgiving parade, but the parks are decorated for Christmas, several restaurants serve turkey dinners, and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party runs November 24, 25 and 27.
Premier Pass reached $479 at Magic Kingdom on November 23, a new record. Multi Pass runs $39 to $45 at Magic Kingdom and $25 to $39 at the other parks.
Multi Pass is worth it at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios for most families. Premier Pass only fits a one-day visit with a big budget.
Liberty Tree Tavern, The Garden Grill, Hollywood & Vine and several Disney Springs restaurants serve Thanksgiving-style meals. Book at 60 days out if you can.
