Lorcana World Championship 2026 at Aulani: Dates, How to Watch, and the Aulani Collection Quest (Dec 2026–Feb 2027)

Disney Lorcana is heading to Hawaii. The 2026 Disney Lorcana World Championship takes place at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa on Oahu, and Lorcana community sites report a Collection Quest for Aulani resort guests that runs through the winter. As a Lorcana collector and an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner, I've been getting questions about this one, so here's what's confirmed, what's still a report, and how I'd plan around it.

Everything below is current as of October 2026. Lorcana plans change, so check the official sources before you book.

Lorcana World Championship 2026: Date and Location

• When: December 4–6, 2026. Ravensburger confirms the dates in its Hyperia City organized play kit (Ravensburger OP kit).
• Where: Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, in Ko Olina on Oahu. Ryan Miller of Ravensburger announced it during the European Championship broadcast at Disneyland Paris (Laughing Place, Disney Lorcana).
• Who's playing: 38 players from seven regions (MickeyBlog).

This is the second World Championship. The first one was held at Walt Disney World (Laughing Place).

Can You Attend? It's Invite-Only, but You Can Watch on Twitch

Let me be plain: the World Championship is invite-only and is not open to the public. Booking a room at Aulani won't get you into the tournament room. The event is for qualified players and their guests (Laughing Place, Lorcana Player).

The good news is that everyone can watch. It will be streamed live on the official Disney Lorcana Twitch channel, twitch.tv/DisneyLorcana, with casters and analysts (Lorcana Player). Ravensburger hasn't published the format or prizes yet.

You can also celebrate at home. Ravensburger is asking local game stores to run a World Championship Celebration Infinity event from December 4 through December 20. Every player gets a Minnie Mouse – Amethyst Champion promo card while supplies last (Ravensburger OP kit).

The Aulani Lorcana Collection Quest (Reported, Not Yet Confirmed)

Here's the part fans are most excited about. Lorcana community sites report that Aulani will host a Disney Lorcana Collection Quest for resort guests from December 2026 through February 2027. They say only Aulani guests can take part and that a reservation is required (Collectacana, Lorcana Player).

Important: as of October 2026, I haven't found this Collection Quest on Disney's or Ravensburger's official sites. Treat it as reported, not confirmed. Disney hasn't announced dates, times, a price, a booking window or which promo cards are involved. I wouldn't book a Hawaii trip only for the quest until Disney or Ravensburger confirms it.

If you've never done one, a Collection Quest is a Lorcana activity where you open packs, trade with other fans and earn promo cards. Disney has run them at Disney California Adventure and during a 12-week test on the Disney Magic (Disney Lorcana, planDisney).

Tips for Booking Aulani in December, January or February

These tips come from Disney's own Aulani pages and current offers. Prices and offers change, so ask me for current numbers.

• Aulani is for overnight guests. Aulani doesn't sell day passes, and the pools, beach equipment and activities are for overnight guests (Aulani FAQ). If the Collection Quest really is guest-only, you'll want a room on the property.
• Holiday pricing is the highest. Aulani's sample rate calendar starts Holiday Season rates at $659 a night for a standard room, before tax. Its lowest season starts at $484 (Aulani rooms & rates).
• There's a Disney Visa offer that covers World Championship week. Disney Visa cardmembers can save up to 35% on stays of five or more nights, or 30% on four nights, on select rooms. It's valid for travel October 19 through December 23, 2026, and you have to book by December 2, 2026. Limits apply (Disney Rewards).
• No resort fees. Aulani lists no resort fees (Aulani). Most activities at the Aunty's Beach House kids club are complimentary, and Premium Experiences cost extra (Aunty's Beach House).
• Pre-register the kids. Aunty's Beach House is for ages 4–12. Submit the pre-registration form 2 to 90 days before you arrive. It doesn't guarantee a spot (Aunty's Beach House).
• Download the Aulani app early. Aulani's planning page lists booking windows that open as early as 180 days out, and many activities and dining spots book through the Aulani app (Aulani Know Before You Go).
• Budget for a car. Aulani is about 17 miles from the airport, and overnight parking is listed at $40 per vehicle per night (Costco Travel).

How It Fits With Other Lorcana Park Events This Winter

The Aulani news is part of a busy Lorcana winter at Disney:

• EPCOT International Festival of the Arts 2027, presented by Disney Lorcana, runs January 15 – March 1, 2027 (Disney Parks Blog).
• Into the Inkdark arrives everywhere on February 12, 2027 (Lorcana Player).
• Disney Cruise Line: Ravensburger says Lorcana experiences, including Collection Quests, will expand across the fleet in 2027 and beyond (Disney Lorcana).

So depending on where you live and what you collect, you could pick Hawaii, Florida or a cruise this winter. For Disney World and Disneyland exclusives, virtual queues and Curator's Collections, see my Disney Lorcana park exclusives guide.
