Yes, you can usually move a trip you booked directly with Disney over to a travel agent, as long as you ask within 30 days of booking and the trip isn't paid in full yet. Disney doesn't charge anything for the transfer, and your price stays the same. You just get a Disney travel agent working on your trip from then on.
This works for Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line and Aulani reservations. Here's how the rules work in 2026, what changes and what doesn't, and how to do it with Fun Park Go.
Disney uses one Booking Transfer Request Form, updated in October 2025, for reservations first made directly with Disney. The rules on that form are the same for Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, Adventures by Disney and National Geographic Expeditions:
Walt Disney World packages booked directly with Disney follow the 30-day, not-paid-in-full rule above. With a 2026 or 2027 package, you paid a $200 deposit at booking and the balance is due 30 days before arrival, so there's usually plenty of time to transfer before final payment. Just don't wait past that 30-day window from your booking date.
Disneyland Resort reservations use the same transfer form and rules. Disneyland packages also come with a 24-hour full-refund window if you booked at least 72 hours before check-in. So if you're within the first day, you have extra flexibility while you decide.
Disney Cruise Line bookings follow the same 30-day, not-paid-in-full rule, and the reservation has to stay in the same currency. Disney's planDisney panel says this includes onboard placeholder reservations: you can ask your travel agent to start the transfer or send the form yourself. Next time, you can name your agent when you book the placeholder and skip the transfer step. Agencies that transfer placeholders report that you keep Disney's onboard booking discount and credit.
Booking direct with Disney is easy. Planning everything after the booking is where people get stuck. A Disney travel agent can help with:
If you're still deciding whether an agent is right for you, read Should I Use a Travel Agent for Disney World? and What a Disney Travel Agent Does.
Disney gives you two ways to start. You can give your travel agent your reservation number and ask them to start the transfer, or you can fill out Disney's Booking Transfer Request Form yourself. Either way, Disney's current form needs a signature from one adult on the reservation, and the agent sends the request to Disney's team for that destination.
In practice, most Disney agencies handle it the same way: you share your reservation details, the agency fills in its information and sends you Disney's form to sign (often by DocuSign), and then the agency submits it. Disney reviews every request and makes the final call, and processing times vary. That's why it's smart to start early instead of waiting until the end of your 30-day window.
Fun Park Go is an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner, a program Disney now calls EarMarked by Disney – Authorized Travel Agency. Here's how moving your trip to us works:
You can work with Janene Anderson, who books Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line and everything else on our site. Our planning guides for Walt Disney World, Disneyland and Disney Cruise Line show what we help with.
Disney's transfer form only covers trips booked within the last 30 days that aren't paid in full. Past that point, some agents may be able to rebook the trip as a new reservation if the same rooms and price are still available. But a limited-time offer may be gone, and cancelling can cost you your room or discount. Don't cancel anything before you talk to us. Then we can help you plan your next trip from the start.

No. Disney doesn't charge a transfer fee, your package price stays the same, and Fun Park Go doesn't charge any fees.
You have to ask within 30 days of the date the reservation was first made, and at least 7 days before you arrive. The trip also can't be paid in full.
No. Disney's transfer form says reservations that are paid in full aren't eligible.
Your price doesn't change because of the transfer. Agencies that handle transfers report that the reservation number, payments and final payment date stay the same.
Agencies that handle transfers report that dining reservations linked to your trip stay in place, and you keep using the Disney apps as usual. Tell us what you've already booked so we can plan around it.
Yes, under the same rules: within 30 days of booking, not paid in full, and in the same currency.
Yes. Disney's planDisney panel says onboard placeholder reservations can be transferred to your agent, and you can name your agent when you book the placeholder.
Disney's transfer form only covers reservations first made directly with Disney. If you booked through another agency, talk to that agency first.
It's Disney's form for moving a reservation first made directly with Disney to a travel agent. It covers Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, Adventures by Disney and National Geographic Expeditions. One adult on the reservation signs it, by hand or by DocuSign, and Disney approves each request at its discretion. Disney updated the form in October 2025, and older versions are still online, so we'll send you the current one to sign.
It varies. Disney asks for requests at least 7 days before arrival so it has time to process them, so start as soon as you can.
The price is the same as booking direct, and a transfer doesn't change it. Where you can save is when your agent finds a discount you qualify for. Learn more in Do Disney Travel Agents Charge Fees?
